In the middle of the night, a mother lifts her hands in prayer,

There is nothing else that will ever compare.

Reflecting on life lessons from years gone by,

She pleads with the Lord for her children’s faith to never die.

Softly whispered prayers, a fervent tune,

Asking, “do whatever it takes” for them to grow and bloom.

As when they are at the end, not knowing where to turn,

They will be drawn to His Spirit to finally return.

Though some choices made brought sorrow and fears,

She prays they turn back to the One they once mirrored.

In times of invisible battles they do not see, strength will arise,

As their mother’s prayers illuminate the darkened skies.

She prays her children know the Truth before it’s too late.

No one else but in God alone, may they live to imitate.

They will return to their First Love with all their heart, soul, mind and strength,

Finally understanding God’s unconditional love goes beyond any length.
