Wrapping up Our Season Together with Prayers

May 14, 2026

As my bible study gals wrapped up the season, we shared verses we wanted to pray over our lives. I love these women from all over the globe, learning from them, and the transparency. There has been much hard in my sister’s lives and yet they still cling to our Lord and Savior as they know He’s got them. I hope you, too, will find this helpful to use to pray in your life as well. The verses used are below my prayer.

Open Bible and closed Holy Bible on wooden dock by lake at sunset

Dear Lord Heavenly Father,
Teach me to walk in Your ways, seeking Your will above all and making the most of every opportunity. I desire to fulfill Your will by doing justice, loving mercy, and walking humbly with You.
Grant me kindness and patience, along with self-control, so I can love even those who are the hardest to love. Give me a teachable heart, and the ability to gently share Your truth with those You have placed in my life, so they may turn to You.
Thank You for always fighting for me and for simply asking me to be still, which means letting go. Give me a peace that surpasses all understanding. Even when circumstances don’t unfold as I planned or expected, I will find joy in trusting Your perfect plan and purpose, continuing to follow You through it all. I desire to remain faithful to You, as You have always been faithful to me. I am confident, Lord, that You have begun a good work in me and will carry it on until the return of Jesus Christ. In Your Precious Son’s Name, Jesus. Amen

He has told you, O man, what is good;
And what does Yahweh require of you
But to do justice, to love lovingkindness,
And to walk humbly with your God?

Micah 6:8

For I am confident of this very thing,
that He who began a good work in you
will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.

Philippians 1:6

The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.
Exodus 14:14

And the Lord’s slave must not be quarrelsome,
but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged,
with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition,
if perhaps God may give them repentance leading to the full knowledge of the truth,
and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil,
having been held captive by him to do his will.

II Timothy 2:24-26

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness,
faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Galatians 5:22-23

If we are thrown into the blazing furnace,
the God we serve is able to deliver us from it,
and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand.
But even if he does not, we want you to know,
Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods
or worship the image of gold you have set up.
Daniel 3:17-18

…so that you may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord,
to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good
work and multiplying in the full knowledge of God…
Colossians 1:10
