I can’t be the only one who has observed this, but I believe it’s crucial to discuss. As I’ve mentioned before, I interact almost daily with individuals from diverse backgrounds, life experiences, and religious beliefs. Engaging in open conversations about a wide range of topics allows us to gain valuable perspectives and insights into the viewpoints of others..
One thing I ask is, “do you use the Lord’s Name in vain”? Many people do. I ask which Lord do they take in vain and it is always our Creator, God and Savior Jesus Christ. Then I ask why it is they do not use their Lord’s Name in vain but instead chooses the Name of my personal Lord and Savior. It really gets them thinking. Then they have no idea why. I am telling you that each person I have asked about this is stumped.

I have talked to many atheists who even believe God exists because they use His Name throughout the day. God is just that powerful, beyond our understanding finite minds, for all to know Him one way or another. As the Word of God says, “every knee will bow, every tongue will confess, that Jesus Christ is Lord.”
So then we talk about the why of this and the bottom line that we come up with is that there is no other name that is above all other names than the Name of Jesus. This really makes sense. No one says or hears their god they’ve worshiped, possibly since they were born. This speaks to the unique and profound impact that the Name of Jesus has had on people throughout history. It’s a powerful name that carries a promise of hope and redemption. The Name of Jesus remains a steadfast source of power many have yet to unleash.
This makes me think how amazing God is, how glorious, the King of all Kings. I understand more and more how great my God is. And I wonder, why He chose me, chose you. This is a very humbling thought. So have you ever heard anyone use another god’s name in vain? I would be interested to know who or what.
