There are many spy movies out there. I remember how my children loved watching Spy Kids and one of my blessings telling us all that my husband and I were really spies and had to marry each other. We all laughed as this blessing was very full of imagination so we went along with it as with anything you are pretending about.

Though, much later we found out how serious this had been believed as the good friend was believed to be our “mole”. This about broke my heart because there was much happening with having post strep paranoia that wasn’t treated as it should have been so every couple years there is a lot of living in a place that is not reality.

There is an actual spy museum in Washington D.C. I was very ignorant before because in my mind, the spy world could not be this big. The things I saw that people used, things such as cameras and even lipstick, to kill someone was crazy to me. The place is huge and has so much spy equipment, it can somewhat make you wonder who is going around with similar things today.

After visiting it, you will definitely know that there is such thing as “Big Brother”. Funny, not funny, but one of my blessings and I were talking the other day, and she looked down at her computer and said, “someone is listening to us because look what popped up on the computer”. It was exactly what we had just been talking about. If I had to guess, it is AI, though there is someone behind all that, too.

Since, I have looked up different true stories of a spouse being married to a spy or both being spies and keeping it from family. It sounds adventurous but I started thinking, what would that be like if you married someone that lived a double life. A life that was somewhat normal but then a whole other part of their life that had to be a secret. I would think that could hurt someone in the long run.

What if a spy dated or married another because they were getting paid to. They then even fell in love and had a family. These are “Romeo” spies. It all just sounds very complicated especially if the spy has to help take out the person they fell in love with. Look at Fidel Castro’s mistress….
