It IS a Wonderful Life!

In It’s a Wonderful Life, there are things that are out of George’s control but because he felt such responsibility for anything that went wrong, he put a very heavy burden on his shoulders which put him in a state of feeling out of control and his mind racing only causing more anxiety for himself. The more anxiety, the more breathing fast and heart rate speeds up, and then he becomes lightheaded, not being able to think straight anymore so he takes his frustration out on those he loves the most. He was then in a hopeless state of mind thinking everyone would be better off without him, that if he had never been born, none of this would’ve happened.

GRINDING HALT

My point is, all this stuff that comes unexpectedly in your life may not be wanted; however, it is all used to make us stronger, to help us grow into what God would have us to be. So, we need to embrace the unpleasantness and learn from it. Do what you can do where God puts you. Get brave, step out of your comfort zone. He has a great plan and purpose for you for this season.

Is Everything OK Over There?

There he was, asleep on my front yard. I stared at him to see if he was alive or not. He sure looked alive, cuddled up and breathing deep. He had look on his face that gave me shivers. He might have looked innocent to some, pausing to take a nap, but he chose to pick a spot to rest, up close and personal, right next to my porch, too close for my comfort. He had to go, and I needed to make sure he was going to stay asleep while I swiftly took him out.

a FIVE GALLON Bucketful of Patience

I believe that we all can learn to wait, to slow down, to learn from the circumstances and the people around us. Many things in life don’t go our way or how we had planned, but if we pause to lean in and learn what God would have us to, we will gain even more patience than we thought we ever had, and realize He had the best plan all along than we could have ever imagined. Sometimes we just got to go through the muddy, sticky, hard, Murphy Monday, five gallon bucketful kind of day. Because in the end, we can look back and see it was all for a purpose to make us who we are today. And, thankfully God is with us through it.

Need Ya!

October 13, 2021 When leaving church a couple weeks back, I said to one of my blessings, ”See ya!” Without hesitancy, she immediately responded back, ”Need ya!” and ran over to give me her final hug for the day. I bent down to tell her how amazing her response was and that she made my…… Continue reading Need Ya!
