My daughter’s 20th Birthday started off beautifully, and as we did together, almost daily, she said, “Let’s watch Charlie!” so on the way to birthday lunch, she got on Charlie’s channel, listed as the #1 in our subscriptions. We sat in the parking lot watching his most recent debate located at the University of California in San Diego. He had just posted this before his channel went live at Utah Valley University.
Then we went in to have lunch. We would watch the debate at Utah the next day. We walked around a little bit after lunch to shop, and I got a text from my husband that Charlie was shot and it wasn’t good. I am sure I gasped and then told my daughter that we needed to pray right then and there. We even told the strangers around us….some knew of him and some did not.
We then went home and prayed and waited. Unfortunately when I was on Charlie’s page writing, it showed the live shot. It was horrific and I knew then he did not make it. I am pretty confident God took him immediately so he did not taste the sting of death. The tears came at the horrific scene. Part of my and my daughter’s daily routine bonding time, of watching Charlie had just ended right before my eyes.
My daughter has loved history and politics for many years now so we have gotten her many books, taken a history trip with her, involved in patriotic things from Young Patriots to American Heritage Girl, and have encouraged her to surround herself with people who love God and love our country as we have seen how easily it is for people to be pulled astray especially when going to college. Thankfully, her first year in college, she continued to surround herself with like-minded people who wouldn’t take away or add anything to the Word of God.
When I first started watching Charlie Kirk, back when he was doing things with Candace Owens, Ben Shapiro, and Matt Walsh, he reminded me so much of my son. A bit awkward in some ways, but super brilliant and easy to love. Charlie started college but then dropped out and started TPUSA when he was just 18. In the beginning, he might have maybe a dozen people standing around his table debating him but then the crowds rose to thousands on the college campuses; moreso this past year.
Charlie was always respectful in his debates and always impressed me when he would tell people to come to the microphone who disagreed with him. Some people were downright rude to Charlie. When you have Truth looking at you, a person cannot deny it, so easily to get super defensive and angry. We could all learn something from Charlie. Anger is not wrong, especially when you see injustice, but it is all in the delivery. He was such a good example on how a debate is supposed to look like.

Charlie’s little girl, three years old, said to Erika the other night, “Where’s Daddy?” She responded that “Daddy is on a Mission with Jesus”. So many people hated Charlie for loving his country, loving his family, and most of all, loving the Lord. The coward, who I will not even name, couldn’t come to the microphone because deep down he knew the Truth, so he chose to hide and use violence to try to silence Charlie. Well, in the words of Erika, his wife of only four years, “You have no idea what you have just unleashed”.
It blows my mind that there are sick people out there who are celebrating Charlie’s death. How their eyes are so blinded — how quickly people fall into such corruption is still shocking, like they aren’t even human…more demonic. Here’s the thing: God wins! Period! I know Charlie instantly heard, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Charlie’s number one goal was to let people know about their Creator, Jesus Christ, to repent, and follow Him. In fact he said he wanted to be remembered for having “courage for my faith”.

I have shared bits of my favorite from Charlie below. He was hated for standing up for what he believed. He was hated for following the Word of God. He was hated for being Pro-Life. He was hated for being Pro-Family. He was hated for being Pro-Israel. He was hated for speaking TRUTH. And yet he continued to suit up, putting on the full Armor of God, and boldly spoke on behalf of His Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and his country. What an Ambassador for Christ like no other I’ve seen in this generation. I’ve always encouraged my children to surround themselves with godly people as who you hang around is who you will become like. Everyone can make a difference for the glory of the Lord. Charlie surely did! His legacy will forever live on!
FAVORITE QUOTES OF MINE FROM CHARLIE:
“Just because you are offended doesn’t mean you are right”.
“It’s all about Jesus”.
“All death can do to the believer is deliver him to Jesus”.
Think about this: Who you are standing for? Examine if you are following the world or your Creator, Jesus Christ. Are you caring more about what the world thinks of you or what God thinks of you? Your choice matters for eternity.
Blessings,
Jennifer

Absolutely….facts, thoughts…in 100% agreement. Dad printed your paper…copied/pasted…and we both have read it a few times. So sad and yet so wonderful. We have been seeing/ hearing the responses of last week’s events. It encourages us to pray more and “keep on keeping on.” Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Love you,
Dad and Mom
