The experiences that have contributed most significantly to my personal growth are often the unexpected challenges, or “curveballs,” that life presents. At this stage in my journey, I can reflect on the myriad lessons I have learned and feel grateful for each one, including the most difficult. These experiences have taught me that even when those around me may disappoint, God remains steadfast by my side, even in moments of my own unfaithfulness.
I firmly believe that both physical and mental pain serve as profound teachers in life. For instance, stubbing your toe can instill a greater awareness of your surroundings, as the sting serves as a reminder to be cautious. Similarly, navigating relationships that have soured teaches us valuable lessons—not only from our own mistakes but also from the mishaps of others. I have come to understand the importance of setting boundaries and recognizing when it is necessary to let go of relationships that no longer are healthy and maybe they never were, regardless of the effort invested in making them work.
Entering into relationships involves a degree of risk, and the potential for hurt is an inherent aspect of human connection. It is crucial to acknowledge this reality while also remembering that we are all flawed and capable of causing each other pain. I have learned the importance of being discerning in whom I choose to trust. While it is essential to remain aware of potential betrayals, I strive not to allow this awareness to overshadow my interactions with others.

Additionally, cultivating patience is vital, especially when life does not unfold according to our timelines. I welcome the lessons life has to offer, yet I would prefer not to revisit the past lessons as I do believe surviving the test is passing the test.
