Boldly Sharing Your Faith: The Cost and Reward

September 18, 2025

So I find myself fired up spiritually to be more and more bold to share about what I am thinking. This is not always the popular way to go because when I’ve done this in the past, people easily get defensive but that’s between them and God. I cannot control someone else’s responses. Some love me, some hate me and that’s okay. I would rather be known to be hot than lukewarm.

I have been told in the very recent past that there are some that look at me and see that I have such a smile and joy on my face and am so passionate about what I do that others hate me. I am stinky to some and a pleasing aroma to others. This is biblical. If someone is so anti-Christ and you are representing Him, they will find anything to hate you.

I would pray daily in my car at the parking lot of where I was working that I would be shiny and salty and I actually had someone tell me one day, “you can’t do that”. My response was I would continue to be shiny and salty for Jesus, and I could pray wherever and whenever I wanted. She was speechless. I pray for her as she is so very lost in need of a Savior that she has yet to be drawn to but it is my prayer she and a couple others have been in this situation. I made this Armor of God prayer for my closet as well as for in my car to remember to “suit up” daily. I have given this to many people in my life that I care about and it is reminding them to suit up daily, too. We need each other to encourage each other to do the next right thing!

I find it interesting that there are two types of people when it comes to standing up for what you believe in. Some want to destroy property, loot, and steal, causing a lot of drama while some quietly gather to pray and encourage each other to do the right thing. My husband and daughter went to a gathering last week where, yes, many police surrounded the area, but everything was in order and peaceful. No drama.

Now before you tell me I am saying left or right, Republican or Democrat, elephant or ass, I have seen nasty on both sides. I see that those who want to hold to a liberal view or conservative view may do so blindly, without even knowing what they are standing for. Have you seen people who will be so against one leader and think what they said was awful until they realize it was the person they were supporting? It is quite embarrassing to watch. Then they are speechless. People, come on, educate yourselves, know why you stand for what you stand for. Something my daughter says often is, “If you don’t know your history you are doomed to repeat it”. Let’s wise up.

I walked 21 miles on 9/11 to honor those fallen and those who gave their lives for their country. It blows my mind how many people asked why I was doing this and then I tell them, “remembering 9/11” ….questioning looks…..”you know, the towers falling….many lost lives….” Mind blowing how soon people forget because it didn’t affect them. As I was walking this year, it was the first time we had people hollering out their windows about their hatred for Trump and even Charlie Kirk. I did not respond but kept walking.

Why, because we are carrying USA flags, people think it’s political? This is quite concerning. If you hate the USA flag and what it stands for so much, you should consider leaving the country. I guarantee you, though, that once you spend time on another piece of soil, you will then maybe realize what our USA flag stands for and how much you took it for granted.

I was blown away the other day when I heard Pam Bondi saying  that the Justice Department would “absolutely target you, go after you, if you are targeting anyone with hate speech.” “This is a very slippery slope, Pam. Please think before you speak. There is a huge difference between hate speech and making threats to someone’s life.

I know, I know, many of us, including myself, speak before thinking but Pam, you have high influence, so much is expected of you, that you really need to think before standing in front of a microphone and maybe have someone edit your words. We all need each other to help us through life. Don’t do this on your own because then you just sound ignorant, okay? You cannot put the toothpaste back in the tube once it’s out, Pam. Believe me, I have done that way too many times to count, and it’s just plain messy. Clean up your mess, Pam, or in my opinion, you should just step down. It is okay to do that. No one would blame you; in fact, some may applaud you.

People, know your rights. You have every right to say horrible evil things, plastering your nasty all over social media outlets to the point of wanting to make others puke. I have literally wondered how some of you even have a soul. BUT let me remind you that if your employer sees this, they have every right to FIRE you! As my husband has had employees, he would not tolerate having someone represent our company with hate speech. We hire people who, not necessarily have the same morals and beliefs as us, but who will represent our company well, being respectful to all.

No one should be shocked when you get fired for speaking cruel evil things. It can adversely affect the company you work for or even the children you have influence over. THINK BEFORE YOU POST, WRITE, OR SPEAK. You may just be welcoming your demise of employment.

We live in a beautiful country where we have so many freedoms but don’t be so gullible to think you won’t have negative results. Know what you stand for. Educate yourself on your rights. Be a nice human. Many just need Jesus. Something we have said in our family for many years now, “Is what I am about to say helpful or hurtful?” We used the acronym THINK. “Is it true?” “Is it helpful?” “Is it inspiring”? “Is it necessary?” “Is it kind?” Freedom of speech does not excuse you from the freedom of consequence!

Blessings,
Jennifer
